Job Description

Position: Regional Sales Manager

Reports to: Director of Sales

Department: Sales

Regions: Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma and Missouri

Summary 

The Regional Sales Manager is the primary interface between Ingersoll

and the customer. Responsible for Ingersoll’s awareness of the capital

investment programs of its customers which matches Ingersoll’s market

strategy. Matches customer needs with Ingersoll’s products and

resources.


Duties 

Prospecting Quality leads

Recommend sales strategy to the Director of Sales

Understand and sell the company’s solution

Report if Ingersoll’s solution matches customer needs

Manage company’s relationship with the customer

Provide data about the customer/markets, competition, Ingersoll’s

products compared to competition, and Ingersoll’s performance

Understand and identify customer’s plant operating issues and

problems important to current and future machine tool outlooks

Responsible to register and report current information in Ingersoll’s

CRM which would include:

Knowledge and experience in similar application sectors such as

Energy, Marine, Aerospace, Earth Moving, Railways, Primary

Metals, etc.

Knowledge and experience in selling larger metal removal

machines such as Gantry Mills, Vertical Turning Lathes,

Horizontal Boring Machines, etc. as an example.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Self discipline (self-starter) and able to self manage

Ability to work in a team environment in developing marketing strategy

Live centrally in the territory/region

Willingness to travel and be away from home for periods of time

Appropriate appearance and personality to be representative of the

company to others

Education:

Bachelor Degree in Sales or Marketing preferred. In absence Bachelor

Degree, 5 or more years of experience in sales of industrial products
