Job Description

In Scalable’s growing Data Department, we are looking for developers for our new team “Data Integration & Management”. This team has a two-fold mission: On the one hand, the team is responsible for bringing data products (e.g. machine learning models) into production. Furthermore, providing software solutions allowing for smooth implementation of regulatory data-related requirements (as e.g. data protection required data deletions) in the Engineering Department belongs to the core competences. Thus, this team constitutes an essential bridge between data teams, other engineering teams and business as well as legal departments.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work as an engineer in an agile team of backend and fullstack engineers, with highly ambitious and skilled colleagues in our growing data department 
  • Work closely together with data scientists and data engineers as well as other engineering teams
  • Bring data products to production and reveal real business value
  • Work on software solutions for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements around data for the Engineering Department (as, e.g., automated data protection required data deletions)
  • Work with cutting edge technologies and be part of modern software development practices (e.g. agile teams, continuous integration and deployment, test automation, cloud-based infrastructure and tooling).
  • Write clean, testable, maintainable and well-documented code with high attention on security aspects

Qualifications

  • University degree in computer science, engineering, natural science, mathematics or similar field
  • Strong programming skills in Java/Kotlin – SpringBoot (BE) and Javascript, React, Node (FE), Python is a plus
  • Experience in developing code and building infrastructure on AWS
  • Experience in complex software projects with end-to-end ownership building Microservices
  • Interest in data projects and data-driven business applications 
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager and Consent Management is a plus
  • Motivation to implement regulatory obligations arising, e.g., from data protection law
  • Good communication skills that are clear, open and concise, professional proficiency in English
  • Interest in FinTech industry
  • Positive outlook on life and sense of humour
