Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

• Work Type:
  • This is a full-time, direct-hire, on-site position at the historic NELA Park campus in East Cleveland, OH.

• Responsible for quality assurance testing across a range of platforms, including:
  • Cync Smart Home Devices (including, but not limited to smart bulbs, strips, fixtures, switches, remotes, sensors cameras, and thermostats)
  • iOS and Android Cync mobile applications
  • Alexa, Google, Apple, and SmartThings applications and voice assistants

• Individual will be expected to perform a range of quality assurance functions, such as:
  • Handling new bug intake, reproduction
  • In-Sprint ticket level testing
  • Release candidate basic acceptance and regression testing
  • Bug reporting

• Work cross-functionally with other teams:
  • Developers – work together to reproduce, root cause, and resolve discovered bugs
  • Customer Support – support customer escalations, reproduce and document novel issues

• Support our relationship with 3rd party Quality Testing vendors
  • Shipping and tracking tester products
  • Provide support during testing cycles
  • Handle bug intake, reproduction

Preferred Qualifications / Requirements

• Experience working on new product development
• Experience working with a wide range of smart home devices
• Experience working with iOS and Android mobile applications
• Experience working with Alexa, Google, and Apple voice assistants
• Individual must be a self-starter, able to multitask effectively and meet deliverables consistently
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail oriented
• Demonstrated effective team player skills
• Familiarity with the JIRA, Testmo and Slack
