Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

The Apple/Mac Computer Support Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing computer hardware and software issues while also providing exceptional customer support to the end-users.

Working onsite in Hyannis, MA is a requirement for this position.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for diagnosing computer hardware issues.
  • Responsible for diagnosing computer software issues.
  • Responsible for repairing and replacing computer hardware components as needed.
  • Responsible for staying current on necessary training as directed by supervisor.
  • Responsible for creating repair cases with hardware manufacturers and completing repairs according to specified protocols.
  • Responsible for documenting deployment, tracking, maintaining IT company asset information.
  • Responsible to updating and tracking end-user reported issues from submission to resolution.
  • Responsible for updating Service Request Status and communicating with end-users on Repair Status.
  • Responsible for preparing and issuing MacBook Pro laptops to all new employees.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS POSITION

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Must have experience working with modern Apple/Mac Computer Hardware.
  • Must have macOS configuration and/or administration experience.
  • Must have basic understanding of basic Computer Networking protocols; DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP.
  • Must have strong verbal communication skills.
  • Must have strong written communication skills.
  • Must have a strong sense of discretion.
  • Apple/Mac Certifications or the ability and desire to obtain them preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • Must have minimum High School Diploma or equivalent degree. 
  • 2 years previous experience diagnosing and repairing computer hardware preferred.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be willing to work onsite at our Hyannis, MA location.
  • Must be able to lift 45 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces and wiring closets as necessary.
