Job Description

What you will do

  • Sales Promotion: Enhance company awareness, value, effectiveness, and profitability through successful sales promotion activity implementation. Collaborate with regional and national internal stakeholders to drive sales and promotional activities.

  • Stakeholder Management: Engage and manage relationships with opticians, ophthalmic pediatrics, children clinic personnel, and school nurses.

  • Coordination: Ensure effective coordination with country managers to implement myopia initiatives consistently across regions and align activities with country-specific needs and regulations.

  • Support for Key Account Managers: Provide support to key account managers in implementing myopia-related activities and initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of myopia management programs.

  • Customer Relations: Establish, foster, and enhance customer relations on regional and national levels together with key account managers.

  • Market Insights: Turn customer feedback into market insights and ensure information sharing across the team and management to improve myopia management programs.

  • Compliance & Policy Adherence: Secure promotional compliance according to country-specific codes of conduct, legislation, and Santen policies, SOPs, and internal guidelines, and complete required administrative duties in a timely manner.

  • Continuous Learning: Maintain required medical and commercial knowledge, core competencies, and skillsets, and follow relevant Santen policies, guidelines, and SOPs.

  • Safety and Quality Reporting: Collect and report safety information and quality-related information to Santen Oy Pharmacovigilance Unit and Quality Assurance department according to current requirements.

Qualifications

What you will bring to the role

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in account management within the pharmaceutical or ophthalmology industry. Experience in managing myopia-related activities or similar healthcare programs is highly desirable. 

  • Strong ability to engage and manage relationships with healthcare professionals, including opticians, ophthalmic pediatrics, children clinic personnel, and school nurses.

  • In-depth understanding of myopia management and related healthcare practices and familiarity with the healthcare systems and regulations in the Country.

  • Proven track record of effective communication with healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and priorities, ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.

  •  Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Life Sciences, Business Administration, or Healthcare Management. Advanced degrees or certifications in ophthalmology, optometry, or related fields are a plus.

  • Field-based position with significant domestic and international travel requirements.
