The Project Management Group (PMG) drives both the strategic and operational development and delivery of Santen’s product portfolio, ensuring cross functional alignment on execution goals and development of high-quality therapies.
As an Associate Project Manager (APM) within Santen’s PMG, this position will be a key contributor to global cross-functional teams responsible for planning and executing product development. APMs will report to the Project Execution Management Team Leader unless otherwise designated. This position may work alongside Santen’s experienced Project Managers or work independently, depending on experience to learn and understand Santen's project management system and to provide support for and coordination of global cross-functional teams, collection of data and insights to inform on project status, and management of timelines & costs to ensure successful delivery of high-quality ophthalmology products.

1. Create and manage integrated, cross-functional project timelines with project team to drive efficient delivery
2. Oversee project budgets in collaboration with the Project Leader (and/or Project Manager) to ensure project is spending according to allocated budget. Cost Center Managers are responsible and accountable for resources assigned to R&D Projects.
3. Collaborate cross-functionally to collect key insights related to project status, assess actual performance against planned
4. Proactively identify, escalate, and manage project risks and issues to Project Leader and Team
5. Manage meeting logistics, including scheduling, documentation of minutes, and reports to inform on project status, timeline and budget
6. Ensure all projects comply with Santen project management policies and standards
資格
BA / BS degree in life sciences required
0-5 years of experience managing projects with a cross functional team, scientific / healthcare experience preferred
PMP Certification is preferred but not required.
Basic understanding of drug development
Language skills: [must] Japanese and English, [nice-to have] Chinese
