Job Description

The Commercial Operations Manager ensures operational excellence across the commercial organization by translating data into actionable insights, optimizing demand planning and product availability, and driving efficient cross-functional processes. The role enables informed business decisions, regulatory compliance, and seamless collaboration across Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, Market Access, and Regulatory functions to maximize business performance and ensure continuous product availability for patients.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Manage demand forecasting using sales, market, and customer data (SAP, IQVIA) to improve forecast accuracy and product availability.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, and regional teams to align IBP processes, optimize stock levels, and support supply allocation decisions.
  • Monitor and mitigate out-of-stock (OOS) risks through safety stock reporting, excess & obsolete tracking, stock transfers, and authority notifications.
  • Analyze commercial, market, and inventory data to identify trends, prepare reports and dashboards, and provide actionable business insights.
  • Ensure accurate product data submission to authorities and maintain regulatory reporting across the Nordics.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives in Sales Operations Excellence.
  • Act as the key liaison between Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, Market Access, and Regulatory to ensure alignment on products and operations.
  • Lead and coordinate Nordic product meetings, Country Reviews, IBP participation, and operational forums, ensuring effective governance and follow-up.
  • Oversee operational processes, including invoicing, contracts, and business tools (e.g., Coupa, SharePoint), to support efficient business operations.
  • Manage product-related communications and administrative activities to ensure business continuity and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (Business, Supply Chain, Life Sciences, or equivalent)
  • Fluent English; Nordic language(s) (e.g. Swedish) desirable.
  • Proficiency in SAP, IQVIA, Microsoft Office, Veeva, Coupa, TrackWise, and GLAMS
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry across commercial, supply, or regulatory functions
  • Experience working with authorities and regulatory compliance processes
  • Proven cross-functional collaboration experience
  • Strong understanding of demand planning and sales operations
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset
  • Structured and detail-oriented approach
  • Customer and service-oriented mindset
  • Proactive problem-solving with a strong sense of ownership
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills

Desirable

  • Experience in an international/EMEA environment
  • Expertise in ophthalmic products

  • Competitive Salary: A market‑aligned base salary starting from EUR 55 546 – EUR 76 376, depending on experience and location.
