[Position Brief]
Responsible for mid-long term development of Taiwan Santen’s OTC business by engaging customer
business development as key account manager for 6-7 accounts.
OTC business unit is under developing stage which recently introduced many Japanese unique OTC eye drop product range into Taiwan market and maintain good performance in the category.
To further drive sales by better engagement with key accounts, we are going to start direct selling model from FY2021.
Challenging but good opportunity to grow yourself with company by leading direct sales to our key accounts & potential customers such as Watsons, Cosmed, Japanese drug stores & growing chain pharmacy channels.
Job Description
1.Retail customer business development
- Develop customer business plan align with company and brand strategy
- Lead joint business planning with key customers and regular business review and strategy meetings
- Build strong relationships with customers to negotiate best space & location, promotion support, develop right assortment, shelving, pricing, and merchandising strategies unique to customers
- Responsible for secure POP presence of the brand in responsible accounts
- Follow up on daily management and implementation of defined activities with buyers/assistant contacts
- Communication with distributor with respect to logistics & after sales to secure service level
- Build and maintain strong collaborative key customer relationships to deliver preferred supplier status
- Able to independently execute channel promotions and sales achievement plans, while collaborating and communicating effectively with team members to accomplish tasks in the most efficient and impactful way.
2.Financial objectives
- Deliver top line and bottom line targets
- Allocate & spend effectively sales promotion expenses within budget
- Negotiate trade terms with customers in line with corporate terms & conditions guideline developed by trade marketing team
- Advise POSM development to marketing to secure ROI
3.Organization
- Lead, develop and coach field sales team (3rd party) to achieve POP implementation
- Work closely with trade marketing team and share markets, competition, channel and customer insights to develop fit-for-use sales support tool kit as well as develop channel strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree's
- More than five years’ experience in managing Key Account in various channels including Personal Care Specialists & National Chain Pharmacies to develop customer business in other multinational company. Field sales or Trade marketing experience is a plus.
- Knowledge & experience in OTC Heath care/FMCG industries
- Strong collaboration and analytical skills
- Experience in autonomous customer meetings and initiative planning including coordinating top to top meeting
- Strong communication skills in Mandarin Chinese, both in verbal and written, sufficient for structured commercial selling and negotiation. Fluent in English or Japanese verbally is a plus
- Strong communication skills with a customer oriented language
- Strong problem finding and solving skills
- Sympathetic to Santen business principle
