Job Description

As part of the Global Financial Management team, the FP&A Manager, Global Product Supply will be pivotal in creating a strong relation with key stakeholders in EMEA while maintaining consistency with the Global strategy in GPS and the guidelines issued by the Corporate FP&A Team. While the main interactions and business partnering activities will take place in EMEA, the reporting and forecasting tasks will be extended to a Global scope.

The FP&A Manager, Global Product Supply will build a global network that allows him or her to provide meaningful insights in the reporting of actual results, the outlook for the remaining of the financial year and the budget for the following year.

The focus of the role will be:

  • Business partner to: Head of External Manufacturing EMEA, Head of Quality EMEA and Head of Supply Chain Management EMEA
  • Budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
  • Support cost optimization initiatives. Identify cost optimization opportunities and coordinate actions with the relevant teams.
  • Continuous process improvement.
  • Business case evaluation and project support.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Business Partnering: Mainly to the Head of External Manufacturing EMEA, Head of Quality EMEA and Head of Supply Chain Management EMEA.
    • Lead EMEA EM&S, Quality Assurance and Supply Chain planning cycle: Budget and forecast.
    • Responsible for calculation of standard costs under the scope of EMEA External Manufacturing. This person will be positioned as the SME for costing matters of externally manufactured products.
    • Strong liaison with the EMEA Accounting Team.
    • Work with business partner to drive accountability at the lowest level of the organization.
    • Improve the quality of internal and external financial data to drive business decision making and performance.
  • Cost optimization
    • Lead the process to deliver the annual cost reduction target for assigned functions.
    • Monitor and report the cost optimization progress vs target for assigned initiatives.
  • Continuous improvement
    • Improve and automate reports, leveraging from existing IT systems: S4 Hana, Business Warehouse, Analysis for Office (AfO)
    • Improve planning and reporting processes. Remove unnecessary steps, identify process gaps and propose alternatives to remediate them.
  • Reporting and forecasting for the assigned functions within Global Product Supply:
    • Reporting of actual results with in-depth variance analysis and understanding of business drivers. Identify risks and opportunities and flag them to the relevant teams.
    • Variance analysis of consolidated results.
    • Reporting and forecasting of Serialization and Digital Strategy expenses
    • Consolidate results and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Business case evaluation and other ad-hoc support
    • Support business assessments as needed.
    • Provide long-term cost projections to support strategic decision making.
    • Budgeting and tracking of assigned Global projects.

Qualifications

Knowledge & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Financial modeling and Capital budgeting
  • End-to-end product costing
  • Working knowledge of budgeting and forecasting.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in FP&A or related job, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.

Skills

  • Advanced Excel
  • Ability to communicate clearly at all levels of the organization.
  • Working knowledge of SAP/S4 and Analysis for Office (AfO)
  • Must have business level of English.
  • Finance and business acumen.
  • Growth mindset and learning agility.
  • Strategic thinking
