For our Italian legal entity we are currently looking for a Medical Rep (Informatore Scientifico del Farmaco) based in Rome.

Scientific information on products in Santen's Ophthalmology range, in accordance with current legislation and the Farmindustria code.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

 

  • Informing physicians about the products in the Santen portfolio by explaining their mechanism of action, characteristics, benefits and contraindications
  • Building a strong scientific partnership with ophthalmologists in the area of competence
  • Implementing corporate strategies in the area of competence
  • Assume responsibility for IMS data in the area of responsibility 
  • Creating and strengthening the network with specialists in the area of competence 
  • Use the tools/tools provided and according to Santen Italy's SOPs
  • Collect and communicate meaningful information to the back office to increase market intelligence
  • Working in full compliance with Law 219/2006 and the Farmindustria code of ethics
  • Ensure the collection of product safety information and its timely transmission to the department in charge of pharmacovigilance. Assisting the department in charge in providing any further appropriate follow-up.
  • Acting according to Santen values and behaviour

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Educational qualification in accordance with current legislative requirements         

2-3 years' experience as an ISF, preferably in the Ophthalmic sector       
Languages spoken: English  (preferable)       
Driving licence B
