Job Description
What you will do
- Work as EMEA Regional Regulatory Lead (EMEA RRL) to develop and implement regional regulatory strategies for the development, registration, commercialization and lifecycle management of assigned Santen products/projects. Prepare regulatory strategy for Europe for assigned projects, and gather input from local RA’s for other countries in EMEA to develop overall EMEA strategy.
- Collaborate with the Global Regulatory Lead (GRL) on multi-regional products, providing regional strategy and input to align the global regulatory plan (GRP).
- Oversee and manage affiliate level local Regulatory Affairs activities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland with local Santen country organizations and local regulatory service providers. Develop optimal regulatory strategies for these key countries. Advice and support Germany, Austria & Switzerland local management and country organization on local regulatory topics.
- Build and maintain relationships with key regulatory stakeholders in EMEA, representing Santen at meetings and responding to regulatory inquiries.
- Conduct regulatory intelligence activities, monitoring the landscape to identify trends and develop strategies based on competitor product labels and emerging issues.
Qualifications
What you will bring to the role
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a life science discipline such as biology, chemistry, pharmacy, or toxicology
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in medicinal product Regulatory Affairs in Europe, with a proven track record of success in developing, submitting, and managing regulatory submissions
- Experience working with regulatory agencies in Germany, Austria and/or Switzerland
- Ability to interpret and communicate regulatory guidance to cross-functional stakeholders
- Fluency in written and spoken English and German
- Common office software skills mandatory
- Good negotiation and communication skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach
