Job Description
In this position, the individual will be responsible for Designing, implementing, debugging firmware for the next generation storage devices.
Typical activities involve the design and implementation of data structures, software algorithms, data path, and implementation of storage interface protocols via PCIe.
You will develop firmware using multiple environments that include SW simulations, FPGA boards, and of course the final product HW. You will work in an Agile environment with advanced CI tools and capabilities that help develop clean code fast.
Responsibilities:
- Design & Develop firmware module for front end, back end and infrastructure modules of storage device.
- Debug the FW issues found in various validation stages on different platforms and update on tracking tools as required.
- Develop / run unit tests, write scripts for testing for firmware modules.
- Optimize the code for memory, power and performance, and resolve the deficiencies.
- Steer key performance indicators for system performance and quality matrix.
- Collaboration with system, Validation, ASIC , program management and cross functional technology teams, to establish priorities and ensure effective implementation
Qualifications
- B.Tech. in Computer Science or Software / Computer / Electrical / Electronics Engineering
- Previous RTOS experience – advantage (e.g. ThreadX / MQX / Nucleus / VxWorks / Embedded Linux) (desirable)
- NAND flash fundamentals / Storage protocols / Power Management (desirable)
- Capable of developing wide system view for complex embedded systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team player
- Fast learner and implementer
