Job Description

We're looking for a strategic and results-driven Retail Key Account Manager to join our team in Mexico City, Mexico. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with our most important retail partners while driving sales performance and market expansion across the region. You will serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, developing customized solutions that align with their business objectives and our organizational goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies for assigned key retail accounts to maximize revenue growth and market penetration
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with senior-level retail partners through regular communication, strategic planning, and exceptional service delivery
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities for account expansion and new business development
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and promotional programs that balance profitability with customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with internal teams including sales, marketing, operations, and logistics to ensure seamless account management and order fulfillment
  • Monitor account performance metrics, sales data, and KPIs to track progress against targets and identify areas for improvement
  • Prepare and present regular account reviews, forecasts, and performance reports to senior management
  • Conduct market research specific to the Mexican retail landscape to inform strategic recommendations and account planning
  • Lead account onboarding initiatives and coordinate training for retail partner teams on products, services, and systems
  • Resolve account issues and escalations in a professional and timely manner to maintain customer satisfaction

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in retail account management, key account management, or similar sales leadership role
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale retail accounts and driving measurable revenue growth
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
  • Demonstrated expertise in sales strategy development and execution
  • Proficiency with CRM software and sales analytics tools
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (required for Mexico-based role)
  • In-depth knowledge of the Mexican retail market and consumer behavior
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
  • Strong relationship-building capabilities and customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools
  • Experience with retail operations, supply chain, or distribution channels (preferred)
  • Track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving performance objectives
