Job Description
- This position needs to understand SSD FW architecture which requires deep insight into intuition and be highly skilled at bringing up new products, Knowledge of error correction codes, statistics, variability, probability, and design of experiments.
- The individual will perform programming / implementing SSD firmware in C / C++ / Python language, debugging issues and problems coupled with RTOS, NVMe/PCIe protocol, and NAND interface.
- The individual analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies SSD firmware. Troubleshoots code for firmware (IC embedded code) applications.
- Work often involves analog and digital hardware and software operating systems.
- The position requires knowledge and exposure to hardware design. Typically programs in machine language, assembly language, and high-level languages (e.g., C, C++, Python).
Qualifications
Qualifications
- BS and 10+years of experience in Computer/Electronic/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- Hands-on experience in firmware development on ARM/ARC or equivalent embedded multi-core microprocessor architectures
- Solid understanding of analyzing complex firmware and identifying Controller/Hardware issues
- Strong programming experience and demonstrated proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems
- Familiarity with SW algorithm development
- Ability to communicate effectively(written and verbal) with cross-functional and cross-cultural global teams
- Fluent communication skills in both Korean and English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Storage or NAND solution-related firmware development
- Experience in SW development related to SSD protocol(PCIe/NVMe/NVMe)
- Experience in communication protocol(e.g. USB/BT/Storage) development
- Experience in RTOS development (e.g. Arc)
- Knowledge of the Agile software development process life cycle
