    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled SSD Test Architect to define and drive the test strategy for next-generation Solid-State Drive (SSD) products. This role requires deep technical expertise in storage technologies, firmware validation, and system-level testing. You will be responsible for architecting robust test frameworks, methodologies, and automation solutions to ensure product quality, reliability, and performance across diverse workloads and environments.  

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify and shape future validation methodologies, including defining validation infrastructure, frameworks, and long-term strategy to support evolving product requirements. 
    • Develop scalable and automated test frameworks for system level validation.  
    • Establish test coverage metrics and quality gates for product release.
    • Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and system engineering teams to identify test requirements and design validation plans. 
    • Drive innovation in test methodologies for storage technologies (NVMe, PCIe Gen5/Gen6, Zoned Storage, etc.). 
    • Mentor and guide verification engineers on best practices and advanced test techniques. 
    • Partner closely with Architecture, Firmware Development, Product Development, and other engineering teams to ensure aligned validation objectives and represent the firmware validation function within cross-functional discussions.
    • Work with customer-facing teams to understand field and OEM-reported issues. Lead validation teams in enhancing coverage, improving test robustness, and preventing recurrence.
    • Architect automation solutions for regression, continuous integration, and large-scale test execution. 
    • Use advanced tools (e.g., protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) for deep-dive debugging. 

    Qualifications

    SKILLS

    • Familiar with firmware development, Integration and validation
    • Knowledgeable on product and quality standards and relevant host protocols, in particular SSD.
    • Test coverage methods for real-time embedded systems, especially storage systems and/or NAND storage
    • Strong programming skills in language: C, Python Advanced, C++(Optional)
    • Basic understanding of CI/CD practices and tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and agile methodologies
    • Understanding of performance optimization, scalability, and reliability in large to mid-scale systems
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop innovative solutions
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence technical decisions
    • Good knowledge of Flash Memory concepts, Protocol knowledge such as NVMe and PCIe.
    • Experience in Windows/Linux kernel device driver and debugging. 
    • Able to develop key relationships 

     Experience required

    • Minimum 10+ years in storage related segments
    • Worked with international teams.
    • BE/B-Tech/M-Tech in CS/ECE/EEE/IS
