Job Description

About the Position: 

Sandisk is looking for a Global Consumer Brand Operations Lead. We are seeking an experienced, effective, results-driven leader to identify, define, and deliver specific initiatives including process development, workflow redesign and creation, as well as specific marketing deliverables.

You will coordinate marketing initiatives with other cross Sandisk marketing teams, establish best practices, and support worldwide teams in problem solving.

This role requires experience in a Strategic Program Management or similar environment with a sound understanding of project management methodologies and industry-standard processes. This position requires strong business judgment, problem solving and excellent communication skills. A track record of delivering results in a fast paced, dynamic environment is a must, as is a passion for scaling process across cross functional groups while improving efficiency and raising the bar on the quality of output. 

The role reports to the VP, Global Consumer Brand and Digital Marketing and partners deeply across the Marketing function, the Consumer Business organization, and other teams across the company. 

Key Responsibilities:

In this role you will own:

Program Planning:

  • Develop program plans that are unique to each initiative and understands dependencies across functions to optimize the overall system and deliver the highest quality output.

Strategic Alignment:

  • Ensure projects and initiatives are aligned with the company's strategic objectives and business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with leadership to manage workload and prioritize programs, budgets and resources.

Systems Development:

  • Standardize core operational frameworks across workstreams: briefs, project management, resourcing, and tracking.
  • Put repeatable processes in place that help us plan and manage multiple parallel projects and run the business.
  • Develop clear documentation, playbooks, and guidelines for internal teams and external partners.

Operational Rigor:

  • Drive a culture of excellence and accountability, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Seek opportunities to make improvements to team efficiency and process.
  • Develop a high level of reliability in outcomes, timelines, and goals and a focus on delivering high-quality, sustainable systems.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Communicate effectively across teams and stakeholders, translating ambiguity into actionable plans and proactively surfacing risks and updates to VP.
  • Drive adoption of existing and new initiatives amongst cross-functional stakeholders working cross-functionally with teams across Consumer Insights, Product, Marketing and Sales to bring initiatives to full commercialization.  
  • Ability to present complex processes to stakeholders, roll them out to cross-functional partners, and encourage alignment across functions and teams.

Risk Mitigation:

  • Goes beyond status reporting to drive issues to resolution by anticipating risks and developing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus constraints.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Partner with fellow program managers to ensure consistency across Consumer Business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination across all projects.
  • Build strong relationships with peers and key business stakeholders through continuous engagement.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.

Budget & Resource Management:

  • Identify and allocate necessary resources for program activities. 
  • Prepare and manage program budgets, tracking expenses and cost variances. 
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors as needed.

Qualifications

Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience or equivalent practical experience ideally in a consumer electronics or consumer goods company.
  • Demonstrable experience driving success in large, matrixed organizations. 
  • Experience improving digital processes in a structured approach while also fostering innovation, including experience driving adoption of new technologies.
  • Experience marketing to Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions. 
  • Expert in project and workflow management practices and tools.
  • Demonstrated delivery of large-scale programs and projects.
  • Excellent analytical and commercial acumen with a track record of making data-driven decisions

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate, influence, and motivate teams at all levels across the company.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with multiple departments in a large, matrixed organization.
  • Comfortable with change management and process reinvention with a bias for action. Ability to drive process improvements and champion a culture of operational excellence.

  • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York.  This range may be modified in the future.
