ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Represent Company to communicate with tax authorities, including IRB, MIDA, etc.
• Coordinate and support tax agent to ensure timely annual tax filing.
• Prepare US GAAP tax provision on quarterly basis including current tax provision, deferred tax provision, tax accounts roll forward.
• Research, analyze, interpret and apply India tax laws and principles.
• Ensure WHT is being reported and on time payment to MIRB.
• Prepare tax payment forecast on quarterly basis.
• Support and review Transfer Pricing Document preparation.
• Support MIDA surveys and questions.
• Assist with tax planning and special projects.
• Support new business initiatives and address risk and concerns.
• Assist cross function teams, or Corporate tax team with local tax issues.

REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration with 10 or more years of tax experience.
• Experiences in government communications and interactions.
• Mix of accounting firm and international company experience is preferred.
• Must have significant understanding of MY tax principles and regulations.
• Ability to research, analyze, interpret and apply MY tax laws.
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and change in priorities.
• Ability to work well with multiple teams and different cultures.

PREFERRED:

• Experience with SAP/ Oracle is preferred.
• A professional certification holder (such as CPA, ACCA, etc.) is a plus.

SKILLS:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent Excel, PPT skills.
