Job Description
General Characteristics (Job Summary)
- Manage day to day operations, managing a direct delivery and subcontract service team to deliver high levels of client and end user satisfaction.
- Demonstrate well developed soft skills to augment multidisciplinary expertise in Site as well.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of Facilities Management security services including but not limited to protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Manage patrolling premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence.
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances, take accurate notes of unusual occurrences and report in detail any suspicious incidents.
- Manage all traffic flow and parking requirements in premises.
- Manage all access control and CCTV system and manage daily surveillance, incidents and important occurrences
- Monitor fire alarm systems and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
- Respond to emergencies within the premises and follow the approved HSE escalation procedure for communication and reporting.
- Submit reports of daily surveillance, incidents and important occurrences to line manager.
- Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation.
- Manage security service suppliers, on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, professionally and in a partnering way that the outputs and manning levels for the supplier is in a cost effective, safe and secure environment and it is maximized their added value and support to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and maintain excellent quality at site premises.
- Ensure that team members of supplier are provided learning, development and training opportunities on their area by identifying successors within the team, considering them for the next accountable roles and responsibilities.
- Develop policies and standard operating procedures, technical Scope of Works for any security services at company premises and ensure service provider supplier follows it.
- Review, develop and update the relevant existing technical scope of works, procedures, operating manuals and instructions as required as part of the ‘continuous process improvement.
- Develop all required KPI and SLA for service provider suppliers and ensure they are managed and where they fail to meet target identify improvements to suppliers’ process.
- Manage implementation of relevant electronic systems / smart solutions / innovative to bring efficiency and effectiveness existing processes.
- Carry out regular site audits of all site to make sure assets registered maintained well.
- Performed regular safety reviews, audits and inspections on all security services works activities including non-routine maintenance & repair activity(s) and Planned Preventative Maintenance activities as well in a proactive way.
- Manage stakeholder relationships such as regular visits, response on timely for requests etc. and resolve issues and identify steps to improve when required.
- Oversee effective provision of services for internal and external customer, keep the relationship between company & stakeholder in professional way.
- Provide continuous improvement of all security service activities and be active on innovating wherever it can be introduced effectively.
- Provide and then maintain full compliance in with relevant local laws, rules, regulation & the requirements of CICPA, civil defense, municipality, police etc.
- Inspect and record the first aid box content on a monthly basis to ensure compliance with requirements and remove any expired equipment and report to line manager to replenish used or expired equipment.
- Ensure that emergency equipment is safe for use and clean, i.e. torches, whistles, reflective jackets, cones, signs, etc.
- Maintain compliance with relevant local laws and the requirements of civil defense.
Qualifications
Education
- Minimum high school diploma (most preferable) or professional and vocational qualifications including industrial standards certification such security supervisor course certification
Experience
- In Facilities Management security service operation (as security guard or officer) with knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety, preferable Trained in First Aid, Fire Fighting and emergency procedures.
- Excellent knowledge and expertise in Facilities Management Operation with minimum 5 years’ experience working in the MENA region.
- Preferable previous experience managing oil and gas site by the application of benchmarking techniques to improve service quality

- Well-developed written and verbal English language communication skills with report preparation skill and expertise on computer use
- Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate and deploy service provider staff and/or contractors in the operation of their duties
- Successful application of team building skills to develop high performance delivery teams
- Active listening skills and the ability to take all opinions into consideration
- Ability to deal with difficult people and situations and making appropriate judgement decisions
- Record of implementing systems to effectively record, address and finalize maintenance issues
- Well-organized, methodical manner and a problem solving ability to think ‘on the run’
- Confidence to take independent decisions but with the judgement to take advice when required or accelerate it properly to the next reporting line for final decision
