Job Description
General Characteristics (Job Summary)
- Responsible for planning and controlling quality activities in given particular disciplines in accordance with quality management system established by QC Manager.
- Plan, control and perform inspections and tests on discipline Responsible and managing inspectors in the disciplines for which they are responsible.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and Brazing Procedure Specification (BPS) along with the supporting Procedure Qualification Record (PQR).
- Preparation and review of all welding related procedures for company approval like shopand field fabrication procedure, welding consumable handling and storage procedure, weld repair procedure, back purging procedure, gap control procedure etc.
- Register welder certifications and monitor quality programs to ensure welder certification and performance are being maintained in accordance with governing codes and standards.
- Preparation and review of project weld status report, welder repair rate report, welder repair assessment and tracer report, weld summary, welder performance and NDT tracking system report which are to be submitted to company on a weekly basis.
- Conduct root-cause analysis on weld repair, identify and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Lead focus assessment and quality walkthrough at site with subcontractor QC and respective construction personnel to improve quality awareness.
- Monitoring and closing of NCR, LBE or any kind of violation by evaluating root cause and implementing corrective and preventive actions agreed by all involved parties.
- Perform variety of document review, inspection and testing functions to verify subcontractor compliance with requirements.
- Lead and conduct internal audit to ensure that QMS are being implemented effectively.
Work location is Fadhili, Saudi Arabia.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements
- The candidate shall have a university degree and a total of seven (7) years of experience in inspection, or a high school diploma with a total of ten (10) years of experience in inspection.
- As minimum, the candidate shall have three (3) years directly relating to supervision of construction activities in the Contract Scope of WORK (e.g.; oil, gas and petrochemical projects, Infrastructure, communication).
- Inspector shall be certified as an American Welding Society CWI, CSWIP 3.1 Certified Welding Inspector, or COMPANY approved equivalent.
- Inspector shall have a demonstrated background and thorough knowledge of codes such as ASME B 31.3, 31.4 and 31.8, ASME Section V and IX, API 620 and 650, AWS D1.1, required for the execution of the WORK.
- Where Nondestructive Testing (NDT) forms part of the WORK, and Inspector is required to review or ensure NDT programs and results, the candidate shall have been previously qualified and certified to a minimum ASNT Level II in the relevant method(s). When performing, reviewing or ensuring Nondestructive Testing in VT, MT, PT, RT or UT, the candidate shall be certified in the specific method(s).
- When performing, reviewing or ensuring Radiographic Testing Film Interpretation (RTFI), Inspector shall be certified in RTFI.

- Aramco Experience is needed.

Knowledge
- Technical knowledge in a particular discipline and familiar with related international codes and standards- Investigate and analyze quality issues based on related international codes and standards so that suggesting resolution.
- Skills enough to establish process and system to utilize FMCS and SCMS enabling systematic quality control and conduct training for its operating.
- Capability of quality system establishment and implementation for small scale project (below 0.5 billion dollar).
