Job Description

General Characteristics (Job Summary)

  • Oversee Procurement activities, prepare Inspection Assignment Packages (IAP), manage inspection team, provide technical support to project team, conduct quality surveys, ensure compliance with project specifications and standards, review and interpret project specifications and standards, prepare inspection reports, identify non-conformances, support corrective actions, evaluate quality issues with ability of preparing root cause analysis, corrective action and preventive actions.
  • Review and expedite the Inspection release documents from equipment manufacturer to align with the ROS.
  • Coordinate with Site MRI's, VID and Vendor for any concern that may arise while performing the site receiving inspection of materials.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Verifying that materials and equipment comply with the purchase order requirements and are suitable for their intended use.
  • Oversee quality control inspections and tests on materials and equipment, in accordance with Saudi Aramco's Technical Specifications, schedule Quality requirements and Quality Standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with Saudi Aramco's Procurement and Supply Chain Management (PSCM) Manual and associated procedures and guidelines.
  • Collaborating with other contractors, suppliers, and Saudi Aramco personnel to resolve quality issues and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Maintaining accurate records of procurement quality control activities, including documentation of IAP Packages, nonconformances and corrective actions, in accordance with Saudi Aramco's Document Control guidelines.
  • Conducting vendor evaluations and pre-qualification assessments, in accordance with Saudi Aramco's Vendor Qualification Program (VQP) guidelines.
  • Developing and implementing a Quality Control Plan (QCP) for procurement activities, in accordance with Saudi Aramco's QCP guidelines.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures related to procurement and quality control.
  • Developing and implementing quality control plans for procurement activities, including supplier selection, material inspection, and testing.
  • Conducting audits and inspections of suppliers and vendors to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Coordinating with other departments, such as engineering and construction, to ensure that materials and equipment are delivered on time and meet specifications.
  • Managing and training staff responsible for procurement quality control activities.
  • Investigating and resolving quality issues related to procured materials and equipment.
  • Maintaining accurate records of procurement quality control activities, including documentation of nonconformances and corrective actions.
  • Staying current with industry trends and developments in procurement and quality control to continually improve processes and practices.
  • Attending PIM.

Qualifications

Experience

  • University degree and seven (7) years of experience in inspection, OR High school diploma with ten (10) years of experience in inspection with a minimum of three (3) years directly related to supervision of vendor inspection activities in the Contract Scope of WORK or relevant field.
  • Well-versed with project specifications and standards, and medium to large-sized project experience.
  • Experience in oil / gas / petrochemical or power plants (ARAMCO Experience as PQCS Preferred).
  • Engineering & Construction Company working experience as Procurement Inspection Engineer.
  • Having competency of reviewing ITP, inspection & test procedures, etc.
  • Aramco Experience is preferrable.

  • Familiarity with International standards namely. ASME SEC II, SEC V, SEC VIII, SEC IX, API 610, API 617, API 650, API 620, API 653, API 510, API 571, API 577, API 574, ASNT SNT TC 1A etc.
  • Leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
