Job Description
General Characteristics (Job Summary)
Shall be responsible for the pre- and post-inspections of all equipment’s, temporary camp and Office/site connections during construction for its electrical integrity and compliance with project and international standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Establishing random and periodic inspection plans and maintaining of record forms as per project requirements and international codes and standards.
- Ensuring inspection status is controlled through efficient tools.
- Be pro-active and strive to find potential risks and take preventive actions.
- Directly report all deviations noticed to direct EHSS reporting authority and executing team for implemented corrective actions.
- Ensure all equipment’s comply with regard to electrical standards.
- Works hand in hand with different teams and personnel on the assigned task.
- Supervise, inspect, and sign inspection certificates for all equipment’s/panels/devices incompliance with the established Project guidelines.
- Ensure load bearing capacities for each electrical equipment complies.
- Ensure a periodic inspection schedule established, communicated, and complied with by sub-contractors.
- Ensure only connections and equipment’s used are complying with industrial standards.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree, or higher; shall be fully conversant with applicable Industry Standards and Specification.
Experience
- Aramco experience is mandatory with SAP No. and CBT passed, please indicate on the CV the same.
- Overall 5 years of experience with minimum 3 years as Inspector.
- Experience of 2 years of Contract Scope of Work.
- Project based experience in or with Environment, Health, Safety and Security, gained in Oil and Gas or Petrochemical industry.
- Should have a thorough working knowledge of the National Electric Code/NFPA 70, IEC or equivalent standards.
- Should have a working knowledge of electrical installations including materials, methods, specifications, and hazardous location identification for oil and gas or petrochemical industries; and able to perform a variety of inspection functions with minimal supervision.
Skills and Knowledge
- Be through with specifications to be met during construction phase for all temporary electrical connections and equipment.
- Relevant competency and International Certifications as applicable.
- Writing and speaking skills in English.
