Job Description

Medical Assistant

We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our family. Your job will be to provide a welcoming and evaluating care to our patients. 

 We offer:

  • $20.00 to $26.00 per hr. 
  • Monday to Friday – Available 8 am to 5:30 pm

A Day in the Life of a Medical Assistant with Salud:

Your genuine spirit of caring welcomes patients as the first step in treatment prior to seeing the Doctor, NP, or PA. You will determine the nature of the patient’s visit and obtain vitals. Your thorough and concise chart documentation will provide clear necessary communication. You will maintain a clean and organized environment for both patients and staff.

Qualifications

What you need to be qualified for this job:

  • The ability to work will all people from all walks of life and to meet them in their place of need
  • Current Medical Assistant Certificate

 Medical Assistants not certified/registered upon hire are required to complete the Medical Assistant certification/registration testing within 3 months of hire. If an employee does not pass, they will be given an additional 3 months to retake the test.

All Medical Assistants must be certified within 6 months of hire and certification must be maintained throughout employment.

  • Medical Assistant without any formal Medical Assitant training is required to have a current Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant

Please Note:  This position REQUIRES a Medical Assistant Certification. A CNA certification is NOT equivalent to the Medical Assistant certification and cannot be accepted for this position.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Successful completion of a formal MA training program, a minimum of 6 months in length, preferred.

Experience:

  • Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
