Our client is seeking a Software Application UI Designer to join their technology team. Candidates should have a passion for user-centered design of complex applications, data concepts, data visualization, and Agile development. The person in this role will be part of an experience design team and will work with a product team to deliver innovative interfaces for marketing technology, big data and data visualization.

The person is this role will be responsible for the overall look and feel on a track of work, but will also be expected to be a part of a Design team working across a single platform of challenging and complex tools, using their best UX skills to analyze, synthesize, and realize complex interactions. (This is software application design, not website design.)

• Work with users and stakeholders to discover user needs, and work with the product team to prioritize items in the overall product roadmap
• Create wireframes to explore, explain and illustrate complex application interactions and flows
• Work independently on your own track of work, but still be able to work with other UX leads across other tracks to create and adhere to common standards and patterns.
• Design innovative, original, usable, and delightful solutions
• Facilitate user workshops and explain design ideas through whiteboarding, demos, walkthroughs
• Work with the visual design team to define and apply application visual standards
• Work closely with developers to support the realization of your ideas on the screen
• Work with the QA team to validate development and accept user stories
• Conduct usability testing and user research

Required Skills: (Include design portfolio links on resume or application)

• 2-5 years experience as a UI or Visual Designer 
• Previous experience and portfolio work with Software Applications
• Experience working with development and engineering teams in an Agile Environment
• Experience working with data visualizations, data concepts, business intelligence and/or ad tech
• Knowledge of CSS, HTML, responsive design, other front end technologies is a plus
• Intellectual curiosity and drive; self-starters will thrive in this position
• Experience writing user research scripts, conducting user research, analyzing and presenting the results
• Agency or consulting background a plus
• Bachelors degree or equivalent
