Within the Salomon Consumer Insights team, your main mission will be to support consumer insights projects and help translate consumer, retail and market observations into actionable insights for internal teams.

  • Conducting desk research on strategic topics, consumer trends, competitors and the sports retail environment
  • Supporting quantitative data analysis or qualitative research projects such as interviews, focus groups, store visits and consumer observations
  • Collecting, analyzing and synthesizing consumer, market and retail insights
  • Creating clear, synthetic and visual reports and presentations
  • Supporting the preparation and presentation of key findings and recommendations to internal teams
  • Helping internal teams translate insights into concrete actions
  • Supporting retail-focused projects involving key strategic partners and channels

Qualifications

Skills required:

  • Excellent level of English; French is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel (Power Bi knowledge is a plus)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Comfortable working with data and qualitative information
  • Previous experience in sports, fashion, footwear or retail is a plus
  • Good understanding of the sports and lifestyle retail environment

Additional Information

Duration: 6 months

Starting date: October 2026 or January 2027

Location: Annecy, France

Contract type:

An internship agreement (convention de stage) from your school or university is required, and your internship must be part of your study programme. Agreements not backed by active enrolment cannot be accepted.

Administrative conditions:

This internship is covered by a tripartite training agreement (convention de stage) between you, your school, and the company. Applicants who are EU nationals can apply without any specific formality. Applicants from outside the EU must hold, as of the start date, a valid residence permit or visa authorising them to complete a school-sanctioned internship in France.

Compensation: 

At Salomon, internship allowances are broken down as follows: 

  • Internship allowances:
  • High school diploma to bachelor's degree: €700 gross
  • Master's degree: €950 gross
  • Doctorate: €1,200 gross
  • Housing allowance: €300 housing assistance upon presentation of a lease agreement for a property located within 50 km of the head office and monthly receipts.
