Job Description
Context
As part of our ongoing digitalization and continuous improvement of material management processes, the Footwear Material Purchasing team is looking for an intern to support material data structuring and quality improvement initiatives.
This role will contribute to better organizing, analyzing and leveraging material data across all material families (Textile, Leather, Polymers, Trims / Metal pieces), in close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Main objectives
The internship aims to:
- Improve the reliability, consistency and usability of material data
- Support the structuring of technical, purchasing, quality and sustainability information related to materials
- Contribute to the development of material monitoring indicators and reporting tools
Key missions
Material data structuring & quality
- Analyze existing material data and identify gaps, inconsistencies or quality improvement opportunities
- Clarify and support the definition of required material attributes per material family (technical, purchasing, quality, environmental, certifications)
- Contribute to data standardization and documentation activities
- Support the creation of guidelines and best practices for material data management
Process & supplier support
- Support material-related processes and workflows within the purchasing team
- Help structure and consolidate material data coming from suppliers (technical data, certifications, sustainability information)
- Contribute to improving data consistency between suppliers and internal teams
Data analysis & indicators
- Participate in the definition and implementation of material KPIs (data completeness, sustainability-related metrics, supplier information, etc.)
- Support the development of reporting tools and dashboards (Excel, BI tools or similar)
- Analyze material data to provide insights and support decision-making
Qualifications
- Degree from a top engineering school or equivalent (Master’s level)
- Strong data skills, with the ability to analyze, structure, and interpret data
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Professional proficiency in English, B2–C1 level (written and spoken)

Full time internship based in Annecy (FRANCE)
Starting date: September 2026
Duration: Between 5 and 6 months

At Salomon, internship compensation is structured as follows:
Internship allowance:
High school to Bachelor’s degree (Bac to Bac +3): €700 gross
Master’s level (Bac +4/+5): €950 gross
PhD: €1,200 gross
Housing allowance:
€300 housing support, upon presentation of a lease agreement for accommodation located.
