Job Description

If so, we have an apprenticeship that might be of interest to you!

We are looking for an Eco-design & Circularity Assistant (Apprentice) to contribute to the rollout of key sustainability initiatives, tools, and processes, supporting both performance‑driven ecodesign and circularity activation.

You will contribute to the deployment of strategic projects, tools, and processes that enable sustainable product development and circular business activation.

1. Ecodesign

  • Develop comprehensive, range level Ecodesign guidelines in close collaboration with the Business Units.

  • Create visualization tools to support the practical implementation of ecodesign principles for softgoods categories.

  • Deliver internal training sessions for the Apparel & Bags teams and adapt the guidelines for external communication when necessary.

  • Organize targeted workshops to inspire teams and accelerate the adoption of sustainable solutions across product creation.

2. Circularity

Recycling

  • Support the full rollout of the recycling Proof of Concept and contribute to documenting outcomes, learnings, and next steps.

  • Improve and formalize recycling processes to ensure they are robust, scalable, and ready for implementation in Salomon retail stores.

Repair

  • Improve and formalize recycling processes to ensure they are robust, scalable, and ready for implementation in Salomon retail stores.

Waste Management

  • Manage key waste streams across the value chain (production leftovers, packaging waste, unsold goods, post-consumer waste, etc.).

  • Lead and document the RACI process for waste management across the supply chain.

  • Draft waste management guidelines for Salomon in collaboration with Amer Sports and contribute to the development of broader Amer Sports waste policies.

What this internship / apprenticeship will bring you:

  • Hands‑on experience in eco-design and circularity projects
  • Direct involvement in recycling, repair, and waste management initiatives
  • Collaboration with product, sustainability, and business teams
  • Practical experience creating guidelines, tools, and training materials
  • Exposure to sustainability implementation within a global sports brand

Qualifications

Education

  • You are currently enrolled in Sustainability, Engineering, Business (BSBA), or Project Management–related studies

Technical Skills

  • First experience or strong academic exposure to sustainability or circular economy
  • Understanding of product life cycles
  • Basic project management knowledge

Soft Skills

  • Strong interest in how products are designed, developed, and manufactured
  • Comfortable reaching out to stakeholders and working cross‑functionally
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Passionate about sustainability and impact‑driven work

Languages

  • Fluent in English
  • French is a strong plus
