Job Description

Do you have experience in management and the retail sector ? We are looking for our new Store Manager for our store in Landquart. 

Role purpose:​

The Store Manager is responsible for building and leading a high-performing store team to ensure that they :

  • Achieve set goals​
  • Effectively execute brand standards ​

  • Deliver operational excellence​

  • Adhere to financial targets​

  • Act as proactive and positive team players

​The Store Manager provides the highest level of customer experience and delivers the vision of the brand, while supporting and mentoring the Assistant Store Manager and the Store Team in their personal and career development. ​

Key responsibilities:​

Leadership​

  • Motivate and inspire the team by articulating a compelling vision for the store, maximizing the power of the Salomon brand​

  • Manage all aspects of the store scorecard: people, operations, finance and customers, to deliver consistently strong results​

Customer Service

  • Act as a role model and ensure the team understands the customer's needs and profiles to deliver consistently high-quality service​

  • Be present and visible on the shop floor, interacting with customers and team members​

Operations​

  • Effectively manage store inventory levels to meet market and customer needs

  • Deliver operational best practices in partnership with the District Manager​

  • Oversee activities while ensuring compliance with building safety, health and safety standards; maintaining a safe and secure environment for both team and customers​

  • Manage staff scheduling to ensure appropriate cover​age

  • Ensure company policies are understood and adopted by all team members​

Sales and Finance​

  • Manage resources to achieve the budgeted level of operating expenses and deliver an excellent in-store customer experience​

  • Monitor and implement a loss prevention program to protect company inventory and assets​

  • Analyze sales trends to ensure optimal product selection and maximize sales​

  • Deliver the P&L and retail KPIs in line with budget and forecast​

Recruitment, Training and Education​

  • Effectively lead the in-store recruitment process​

  • Partner with the ASM to ensure that all members of the team receive effective onboarding and continuous training

  • Actively support and deliver career development opportunities for the store team

SAL/FR

Qualifications

  • You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in a retail leadership position, ideally in the footwear industry
  • A true People-First Manager
  • Passion for sports and fashion combined with a strong professional mindset
  • Strong customer focus and proven ability to create exceptional experiences
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships
  • Willingness to work a shift schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Motivated, eager to learn, and open to change and continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in MS Office and understanding of key retail performance indicators
  • Familiarity with Salomon products is a strong plus
  • Curious, playful, and optimistic, yet focused, committed, and able to seize opportunities
  • Fluent in English and German
