Job Description

At our 700-person strong ski manufacturing site in Chepelare, Bulgaria, based at the foot of the Rhodope Mountains, we are looking for our future Industrial Quality Engineer for a 1-year V.I.E. (Volontariat International en Entreprise) assignment.

The main objective of this assignment will be to support and assist the production site in quality improvement projects, in order to further structure quality processes and foster the development of a quality culture on the site. The position will be part of the 12-person team within the Industrial Quality Department.

 

Our future industrial quality engineer will be responsible for:

1. Participating in the production quality assurance process:

  • Carry out or participate in process risk analyses (FMEA)
  • Audit the plant's quality system (processes, procedures, resources and documentation)
  • Audit the production control plan (components, materials, finished products)
  • Implement and qualify specific control procedures and resources
  • Verify and qualify the capability of ski production lines
  • Measure and improve production line quality performance
  • Implement, manage, monitor and communicate performance and compliance indicators (QMark, CoQ, ppm, etc.).

2. Promote and manage continuous improvement:

  • Analyze industrial problems and market feedback in order to integrate them into the quality assurance process.
  • Analyze production scrap percentages in order to define corrective action plans (CAP) to reduce them.
  • Drive actions to improve the quality assurance process (PDCA).
  • Lead or participate in quality problem-solving processes (RCA)
  • Implement methodological approaches and quality tools to facilitate problem resolution: 5 Why, 8D etc.
  • Train local teams in quality approaches and tools
  • Communicate and contribute to the deployment of the quality "culture" in the plant.

Travel between the head office in Annecy (74), Altenmarkt Im Pomgau (Austria) and the industrial site will be required.

Qualifications

  • Experience required: 1 to 2 years' experience (including internships or apprenticeships.) 
  • Education: Engineering school, master's degree in quality management or industrial performance management
  • Foreign language(s): fluency in English, German and French would be a plus
  • Computer skills: proficiency in the Office Suite and statistical analysis software
  • Specific skills: Process approach, mastery of quality (and statistical) tools, mastery of problem-solving methods, technical knowledge (product/manufacturing processes).
  • Specific cross-disciplinary skills: ability to plan and organize, ability to lead, proactivity, ability to analyze and synthesize, results oriented, ability to work in a team and collaborate
