Company/Position Overview:

Salient CRGT seeks a System Administrator (SA) who will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual will participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. He/she will ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values.  This position is 3rd Shift, 11:00pm-7:30am EST, Tuesday-Saturday.

• Builds, installs and manages physical and virtual server environments

• Documents, monitors, and audits those environments

• Creates and tracks performance metrics and tweaks infrastructure design accordingly

• Provides maintenance to systems and applications.

• Primary resource for server and network hardware and software issues

• Provides supplemental network and systems administration support to IT team

• Works with IT team on large projects

• Development of performance metrics and hardware/OS performance tuning

• Primary resource for Apple/Mac client support

Mandatory Qualifications (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills):

• 5 - 8 years of relevant experience is required, to include:
• Knowledge and experience in a large-scale Enterprise network.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux (RHEL) administration
• In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Server platform and its components including Active Directory, Windows Server 2003/2008/2008 R2/2012, failover clustering, certificate services, IIS, and other related technologies.
• Experience with configuration and administration of Windows file servers.
• Experience with installation, configuration, and administration of enterprise hardware including rack mount and blade servers
• Experience writing/maintaining appropriate scripts to automate system administration and recurring jobs
• Experience with Microsoft SCCM.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
• Experience in supporting a 24x7production environment
• McAfee EPO Administration
• 5 years of VMware vSphere Management experience is required.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required. 5 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education on a case by case basis.

Background Investigation: You must be able to pass and maintain a government Tier 4 High Background Investigation. Salient CRGT will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this opening.

Desired Qualifications (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills):

• Microsoft – Minimum 5 years (DHCP, Login Scripts, File/Print Services, DHCP, SCCM, Active Directory, Group Policy Management, System Hardening, SNMP, Patch Management, IIS Web Services, SQL, Scan Remediation, OS Deployment Group Policy Management)
• Citrix Xenapp Administration is a plus
• Linux – Red Hat is a plus
