Job Description

  1. Facility Maintenance:

    • Oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of the Murouj Mall & Sahara Kuwait Resort.
    • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
    • Coordinate and perform routine maintenance tasks, such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs.
  2. Team Leadership:

    • Manage and lead a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance and support.
    • Schedule and assign tasks to ensure efficient coverage and response to maintenance needs.
    • Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the maintenance team.
  3. Vendor Management:

    • Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance projects.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and high-quality services.
    • Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or concerns promptly.
  4. Emergency Response:

    • Develop and implement emergency response procedures to address urgent maintenance issues.
    • Act as the point of contact for emergencies, coordinating with relevant authorities and stakeholders.
    • Ensure the availability and functionality of emergency response equipment.
  5. Budget Management:

    • Assist in the development and management of the maintenance budget.
    • Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and maintain financial responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a retail or shopping mall or hotel/resort environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols.

Additional Information

Technical certifications or relevant education in facility management is a plus.
