Job Description

Saffron Vanilla are recruiting for a 4* Liverpool City Centre, internationally branded, Hotel. The 159 bedroom property is in the heart of Liverpool. The Hotel also boasts a restaurant, large function suite, meeting rooms and leisure club. This is a very busy and very successful hotel.

The role of Chef de Partie you will be required to assist the senior chefs in managing the day to day operation of the kitchen, you will be helping produce excellent standard of Cuisine for the restaurant, you will be in charge of your section from set up to clean down.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support in the senior chefs, training and recruitment of kitchen brigade
  • To be creative in implementing new dishes
  • To assist in the delivery of the Hotels annual budgeted profit through the achievement of the food, labour and controllable costs in accordance with annual budget, implementing cost cutting measures as necessary.
  • To show alertness, vigilance and attention to detail of all work.
  • To undertake any other duty commensurate with this post as determined by the Head Chef

Core Competencies To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills and values that include:

  • Must be in possession of food safety level 2.
  • Experience in working with fresh produce is essential.
  • A background of working to brand standards desired.
  • Experience and knowledge in managing safe systems of work
  • Previous experience in fine/high end dining would be advantageous
  • The ability to manage pressure and work to deadlines.
  • The ability to work comfortably in all fields of kitchen operation.
  • The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Creative in thinking and approach.
  • Maintain a high level of confidence in own ability.
