Spider is seeking a Service Manager for our Orlando branch office. In this role you will supervise the daily operations of the Branch Service Center.  you will plan, schedule and direct branch service personnel to ensure customer satisfaction, increased revenue and increased productivity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·        Directly responsible for managing customer unit/permanently installed equipment maintenance program.

·        Responsible for achieving a high level of customer satisfaction and market goodwill. 

·        Directly responsible for developing and achieving service revenue plan in conjunction with the Branch Manager.  Maintain daily tracking system to monitor both contract and straight time service revenue.

·        Act in Branch Manager’s stead when he/she is away from the branch.

·        Maintain the highest standard of quality and safety for all branch personnel.  Stays current and is responsible for implementing all applicable safety regulations at the branch location and field sites.  Trains both branch and customer personnel in the safe rigging, operation and maintenance of products sold.

·        Identify technical training needs of staff and provide on-the-job training as well as formal classroom training.

·        Responsible for, or may assist administrative staff with the quotation of rental rates under the guidelines set by the branch manager.  Assist with the processing of rental and sales orders.  May check with other branches for the availability of rental equipment when necessary.  Requisition and transfer for new inventory into rental on the approval of the branch manager.  Maintain quote files on all rental contracts.

·        Assist Branch Manager with sales calls and customer interface as requested.

·        Responsible for, or may assist administrative staff with the scheduling of service personnel.  Discuss scheduling conflicts with the Branch Manager.

·        Assists Branch Manager in administering performance evaluations for technicians.  Sets and communicates individual goals.  Provides regular feedback on the performance of service personnel.  Documents achievement and deficiency as deemed appropriate by the Branch Manager.

·        Ensures accuracy and timeliness of all service paperwork.

·        With an approved purchase order or requisition, orders material from vendors or manufacturing.  Ensures that adequate inventory levels are maintained.  Develops and maintains accurate counts of new and rental equipment by organizing and participating in physical inventory counts.

·        Performs sales functions such as telemarketing as required by Branch Manager.

·        Maintains a clean, safe and organized service area.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

·        Excellent interpersonal communications skills (both in person and telephone).

·        Strong customer service orientation and experience.

·        Must be able to work at heights up to 100 stories.

·        Working knowledge of safe rigging practices.

·        Computer literacy required.  Will utilize Word, Excel, Outlook and AS/400.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

·        High School diploma or equivalent.

·        Minimum of 5 years progressive responsibility in a similar arena (service, technical or construction.)

·        Prefer prior scaffolding work experience, preferably as a mechanic.

·        1-2 years prior supervisor experience.
