Do you want to play a key role in modernizing and optimizing high-tech packaging machines? At Syntegon, we are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical & Software Engineer to support our customers worldwide with innovative and reliable solutions.

About the role

As a Senior Electrical & Software Modernisation Engineer, you will design and implement customized solutions for packaging machines, while supporting both internal teams and customers on-site. You combine deep technical expertise with practical insight and contribute to the modernization and optimal performance of our systems.

Your responsibilities

• Design and implement electrical and software solutions, including modernization of existing systems.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide support to the field service team.
• Prepare documentation for service, upgrades, and project-related activities.
• Travel domestically and internationally for installation and commissioning.
• Integrate new control systems into existing machinery.
• Manage costs, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with CE and international standards.

What we ask

We are seeking an experienced professional who is technically skilled, communicative, and confident working in an international environment. A valid passport and driving license are required, as well as the willingness to travel both domestically and internationally. In addition, you have:

• HND or equivalent.
• At least 7 years of experience in Electrical and Software Engineering, preferably in the packaging industry.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD Electrical/EPLAN, and programming with Rockwell and Beckhoff
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Experience in design for manufacture & assembly, cost management, and servo motion technology.
