Job Description

SUMMARY: This position supports the project management office by assisting the project managers and executing large modernization projects to meet customer expectations on time and attain project budgeted margin with minimal failure costs.

Support tasks for the project managers include performing financial updates and change orders as well as backlog and project data analysis.  Large modernization project execution includes .

Essential Functions:

  • Identify high-level constraints that drive the milestone schedule.
  • Populate planned dates in project tracker at time of order entry.
  • Assist Project Managers in tracking project financials.
  • Assist Project Managers in tracking third-party equipment purchase orders and deliveries.
  • Guide and direct the Team members, while retaining overall responsibility for the project.
  • Communicate the project objectives, schedule, and cost budget to all team members.
  • Schedule and lead all project meetings, assign project responsibility to team members as needed.  Motivate and challenge team members to ensure schedules are achieved.
  • Maintain a complete and accurate record of the project history.  Review all potential cost increases and / or schedule changes with the management and customer throughout project execution.
  • Other duties within the Project Management Office as required by the manager.

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess a minimum of an Associate degree from an accredited university
  • Must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience working in a project planning or scheduling capacity within a Manufacturing environment
  • Must have at least 5+ years of experience using an ERP system including financial data (e.g., material costs, labor hours, invoice status), change orders, project materials back orders, standard modules and materials forecast tracking
  • Must have at least 3+ years of experience developing schedules and coordinating resources. 
  • Must have at least 3+ years previous experience working cross-functionally to gather and interpret information for high-level project capacity planning and forecasting ship dates for incoming sales orders

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors' degree in Business or Technology is preferred
  • SAP experience is preferred
  • Familiar with design-build and/or engineer to order (ETO) environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Office 365) including MS Project
  • Experience with project dashboards and status reporting.
  • Formal project management training (e.g., PMI courses or CAPM certification).
  • Experience with the Stage Gate Process in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical experience or training.

The expected compensation range for this position is between $based on a full-time schedule.
