Job Description

The Revenue Accountant will act as a business partner to the organization performing day to day invoicing, collections, master data maintenance, cash flow reporting, general ledger accounting as well as accounts reconciliation ensuring financial transactions are performed in compliance with the company policies and providing accurate and correct information for decision making processes.

Essential Functions:

Basic Function Objectives Include:

1.       Perform the Bill to Cash processes that include invoicing, customer payments and collections, cash application and credit memos;  

2.       Prepare accurate and timely receivables aging and bad debt reports;

3.       Coordinate and ensure that intercompany balances are reconciled via ICR SAP tool;

4.       Ensure proper accounts reconciliation of several balance sheet accounts each month;

5.       Coordinate and prepare cash flow reports and forecasting;

6.       Support the accounting area in the Planning and Forecasting processes;

7.       Maintain Vendor/Customer master data;

8.        Work closely to the Assistant Controller in regard to reporting requirements;

9.       Month end closing activities.

 

Primary Activities and Responsibilities Include:

1.       Work with sales and project management teams on project invoicing and follow up with customers (deposit, pre-shipment and final invoicing); After sales invoicing for field services, modernization and part sales orders;

2.       Weekly update of receivables aging report and follow up on outstanding accounts;

3.       Ensure that Intercompany reconciliation will be executed according to the company schedule as part of the month end closing process;

4.       Perform account reconciliations including but not limited to accounts receivables, sales and use tax, and customer pre payments;

5.       Update cash flow forecast and actuals on a weekly basis in coordination with the Assistant Controller and the Treasury Department;

6.       Customer and Vendor creation and maintenance;

7.       Order intake controlling and reporting - actuals and forecasting;

8.       Monthly Sales & Use tax reporting to the TAX team.

9.        Routinely request updated sales tax certificates from Customers

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have a minimum of 5+ years of work experience in Accounting
  • Must possess a minimum of 3+ years of experience and competence in Excel and SAP (modules FI and SD
  • Experience with cash flow reporting and forecasting.
  • Collections experience
  • Sales and Use tax reporting experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills.

•         Creativity and ability to implement changes

•         Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral

•         Demonstrate a positive attitude and a strong work ethic

•         Excellent organizational skills

•         Strong working knowledge of finance and controlling, analytics, business intelligence, (MS Power Bi) data visualization tools

Additional information

The expected compensation range for this position is between $70,000 - $85,000 based on a full-time schedule.

Compensation for roles at Syntegon varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience. At Syntegon compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Total rewards at Syntegon include salary + bonus (if applicable) + benefits.
