Summary (of role and how it fits within organisation):

Programming and operating a Colchester Typhoon L65M with FANUC control system and an Alpha SL65 S barfeed to produce quality precision components. The applicant will be required to create programmes from engineering drawings for small batch quantities.

Working within a small manufacturing team the ideal applicant will be a reliable team player with a willingness for flexibility to support all team members in the manufacturing and other areas of the business. Where possible cross department training is available to enable the applicant the possibility to be involved in product builds to develop a greater understanding of our end machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be required to create CNC programs from engineering drawings.
• Produce small to medium batch quantities.
• Achieve required tolerances.
• Self-inspection responsibility for quality control
• Working within the Manufacturing team

Knowledge and Skills:

• Demonstrable experience as a CNC operator / programmer
• Ability to create programs from engineering drawings using FANUC controls
• Familiarity with Colchester Typhoon
• Ability to work other machinery an advantage though training will be provided
• Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of working independently, but also getting on well with the small team.
• Ability to work to a high standard with excellent attention to detail
