Job Description

Title : Sr. ETL Developer

Location : Minneapolis, MN

Duration : 4 months


ETL DEVELOPER

SV Tech Systems is looking for a ETL Developer for their direct Minneapolis client. 


Estimated Start Date: ASAP  

Estimated End Date: 4/30/2015    


The Client is implementing a new claims system. This new system will eventually be provided and supported by TMG. The old system, GE’s business centricity will be retired and decommissioned. In addition to moving back office features such as claims processing, member customer service and reporting to the new system, a data warehouse will be built. The warehouse will house archived data from the old system, new data fed from the new system and provider claim submission/response data (835/837 transaction sets).                         


Roles and Responsibilities:

The ETL Developer will provide ETL services for the build and design of the data warehouse.    

• Design, develop and deploy ETL solutions using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

• Migrations and integrations of code to production warehouse

• Map new data sources into existing data feeds

• Establish and document regular, automated ETL processes

• Provide ETL mentoring for newly trained county IT staff person

• Design and create data models, schemas, tables, views and stored procedures for the data warehouse which fulfills operational, audit and regulatory requirements.  

• Perform analysis on report needs and assist with the development of report specifications 

• Ensure technical documentation is complete



Qualifications

Skill Sets Needed:                                                            

• Highly experienced with ETL framework design, implementation and best practices

• Strong experience in designing & developing ETL packages using SQL Integration Services (SSIS)

• Highly experienced with relational data modeling 

• Solid understanding of data warehouse principles and structure

• Extensive experience writing complex SQL statements and T-SQL programming such as, Stored Procedure, Functions etc.

• Extensive experience working with Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012 

• Experience with VB or C# scripting

• Experience with XML

• Experience with QA best practices

• Demonstrated ability to analyze data for business rules definition and validation

• Prior experience with health care payer data and/or 835/837 EDI transactions preferred

• Experience with data modeling tools such as Power Designer, Irwin etc. 

• Strong analytical and technical skills

• Good verbal and written communication

• Ability to mentor others


List of Deliverables, e.g. what the consultant(s) will be expected to accomplish: 

• Regular status reports 

• Preparation and implementation of scripts to manage migration of data from old and new claims system into one warehouse following county standard operating procedures

• Preparation of extracts from new data source into existing data feeds following county standard operating procedures 

• Complete set of technical and process documentation of scripts created, extracts implemented, and other work performed

• Knowledge transfer to county staff person

• Active project team member

• Adherence to Hennepin County’s Non-discrimination and Respectful Workplace policy
