Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced female Vice Principal to join our educational leadership team in Benin City, Nigeria. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Principal to oversee the day-to-day operations of the school, foster academic excellence, and create a positive learning environment for students and staff.

  • Assist the Principal in developing and implementing school policies, procedures, and curriculum
  • Supervise and evaluate teaching staff, providing constructive feedback and professional development opportunities
  • Manage student discipline and promote a positive school culture
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community members to enhance student achievement
  • Oversee the school's academic programs and extracurricular activities
  • Assist in budget planning and resource allocation
  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian educational policies and regulations
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the school improvement plan
  • Act as the Principal in their absence, making critical decisions when necessary
  • Utilize educational technology to enhance teaching and learning processes
  • Coordinate and supervise standardized testing and student performance evaluations

Qualifications

  • First degree in Education, Mathematics or English language, Masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of teaching experience, with 3-5 years in educational administration or leadership roles
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff and students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation
  • Demonstrated experience in student behavior management and fostering a positive school culture
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency in educational technology and its application in the classroom
  • Fluency in English
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with educational trends
