Salary range: $11,762.83 - $18,820.50 per month

Job Description

The Director of Business Banking oversees and provides leadership for Business Banking Officers deployed throughout STCU’s footprint. This position works cross functionally by partnering with teams from retail, marketing, payment operations, commercial, underwriting, and processing to provide an unparalleled business member experience. The focus of the business banking team centers on prospecting and targeting businesses with annual revenues of $2 million or less and aggregate credit relationships up to $500,000.

Core Job Requirements/Outcomes

  • Develop growth strategies and implement activities/behaviors that support STCU’s mission and actively provide mentorship and accountability to the business banking team by generating leads, prospecting activities, providing consistent communication with marketing, retail, operations, underwriting and processing teams.
  • Partner with the Commercial Banking and Credit Administration teams to ensure proper management of credit risk for new and existing loans and cash management services by monitoring key performance metrics including delinquency, mature loans, and financial covenant tracking.
  • Lead and support the development of new business relationships, with an emphasis on providing a full range of financial services to operating businesses within our market area by leading the effort to provide exceptional service according to established standards as well as monitoring and responding to member feedback.  Be an advocate of Balanced Growth for the credit union, support a Growth Culture, and always look to engineer the best possible Member Experience.
  • Provide leadership to the Retail Experience team by maintaining collaborative and effective internal communication; resolving departmental issues, conflicts and/or concerns in a timely manner; and make staffing adjustments or recommendations to achieve departmental goals.

Qualifications

Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field is required. Equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.

Job Experience: Ten (10) years of related experience in managing or directing Business Banking with progressively increasing experience is required.

Software Skills: Proficient knowledge of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.

Physical Demands: Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 10 pounds with accommodations.

Work Conditions: Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

Travel Demands: Extensive travel within STCU footprint is required to meet customer and credit union expectations and build business relationships.
