Job Description

The Business Product Support Specialist is responsible for being the expert on all business products and services for the credit union, fulfills service requests through various channels, and ensures business members have a seamless experience through one-contact resolution. The Business Product Support Specialist contributes to the implementation and development of products and services and maintaining audit and legal requirements.

  • Maintain internal and external member satisfaction by performing processes timely while assisting members and employees according to department accuracy standards and service level agreements.
  • Demonstrate quality decision-making by using experience and applied knowledge while creating solutions that balance the heart of the member with risk mitigation to STCU.
  • Demonstrate professional communication skills through all interactions by using active listening, articulating messages in a way that is understandable while adjusting content to meet the tone of the audience, and using professionalism to diffuse escalated interactions.
  • Proactively bring forward continuous improvement ideas to enhance team and member experience by listening to member and co-worker concerns with current processes. Actively participate in trainings and process changes.

Other Essential Functions

  • Contribute as an effective team member by completing all tasks and assignments according to established service level agreements.
  • Support departmental or credit union wide initiatives and projects by contributing as an effective project team member and complete all tasks and assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Achieve individual and team metrics specific to telephone availability, wrap codes, and answer rates.
  • Maintain an expert level of knowledge related to all business products and services to grow and enhance the credit union’s business portfolio.
  • Complete daily, weekly, monthly job responsibilities as assigned. Recommend solutions and procedural changes to improve efficiencies in existing processes. Cross train others to maintain accurate understanding of job-related processes.
  • Contribute to the development of STCU’s culture and strategic vision, the achievement of organizational goals and support and demonstrate STCU’s Core Values.
  • Operate within all STCU compliance and security policies.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Job Experience: Minimum two years of experience serving business members including providing direct business contact and demonstrated customer service skills required Proven ability to deepen relationships and explain complex and simple products and services. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.

Software Skills: Experience with account opening software and cash management software is preferred. Proficient knowledge of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.

Other: Perform additional duties as assigned for the efficient operation of the department and the organization. This includes the possibility of being assigned temporarily to other locations.

Physical Demands: Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 10 pounds with accommodations.

Work Conditions: Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

Travel Demands: Some travel to visit commercial teams, retail branches for training and personal introductions.
