Job Description

The Lending System Administrator (Encompass) assumes the responsibilities of lead system administrator and as the credit union’s lead subject matter expert for the lending platform. This requires providing best practice recommendations, identifying areas for enhancement and opportunity, hands-on development and maintenance, escalated issue/ticket support and the general day to day upkeep, troubleshooting, and support of the platform.

*This position has the ability to work remotely in select states (not all states qualify). 

Core Job Requirements/Outcomes

  • Maintain and enhance the core lending system by designing and implementing approved change requests by creating new loan products, workflows, input forms, codebase assemblies, plugins and standalone applications.
  • Provide support to end users by responding to their daily questions, reviewing concerns and ensuring proper usage of the system. This includes troubleshooting, timely error resolution and coordination of support requests directly with escalated tech support.
  • Ensure the soundness and security of the lending system by maintaining user roles and profiles, security settings, role hierarchy, access levels and other control measures.

Other Essential Functions

  • Coordinate with the Lending Compliance and Quality Administrator in ensuring the lending system is functioning consistently in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain the point of sale (POS) solutions for successful delivery of loan applications, borrower documents and status notifications, partnering with our Brand Marketing team to ensure proper branding of the POS.
  • Review release notes in for upgraded versions of the lending system and other integrated applications. Perform quality assurance testing and coordinate user acceptance testing with the appointed testing group.
  • Write or modify application programs according to standards utilizing modern programming languages/technologies and applies industry standard software development best practices.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Job Experience: Minimum of five years’ experience in lending, with a minimum of two years’ experience as an Encompass system administrator (preferably in a credit union environment). 

Certification: Encompass Administrator Certificate strongly preferred.

Software Skills: Experience in navigating lending origination systems including previous experience with Encompass is required. Proficient with coding languages along with a functional understanding of SQL, XML, and SOAP. Proficient knowledge of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams

Physical Demands: Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 10 pounds with accommodations.

Work Conditions: Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
