Job Description

The Senior Lending Business Analyst will develop a deep understanding of the lending landscape, including trends, competitors, technologies, and underlying dynamics. With a focus on qualitative and quantitative data, they will partner across teams to drive analyses and communicate insights and recommendations to lending leadership to support key strategic and tactical decisions. 

Core Job Requirements/Outcomes

  • Lead projects from strategy development though execution by direct program planning and management, issue identification and resolution, risk management, analytical design and deliverable definitions to provide targeted outcomes.
  • Drive research and analysis on market trends and member behaviors by creating data-driven business cases for product investment decisions and strategic partnership selection.
  • Lead assigned lending division research initiatives by managing several requests and responsibilities concurrently while meeting or exceeding deadlines.
  • Compare vendor product and service offerings by highlighting capabilities, implementation/ongoing costs, implementation/enhancement benefits, revenue and ROI estimates, transition timeline, risk and resource estimates in order to recommend the best vendor and service offerings for STCU.

Other Essential Functions

  • Combine strategic vision and tactical expertise coupled with analytical problem-solving skills that translate into practical solutions for the various lending divisions.
  • Provide analytics and insights of our business and industry to surface risks and key opportunities as we grow.
  • Build and cultivate relationships with cross-functional teams within the organization to support collaboration and partnerships on key initiatives.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree required or at least four years as a lending business analyst in financial services.

Certifications: Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Project Management Professional (PMP) or industry related certification is preferred.

Job Experience: A minimum of five years’ experience as a lending business analyst or similar role including advanced experience in strategic analytics, project management and management consulting. 

Software Skills: Experience in navigating business intelligence and project management systems with preference given to specific experience in Information Builders WebFocus and TeamWork. Proficient knowledge of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams,

Physical Demands: Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 10 pounds with accommodations.

Work Conditions: Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
