Detailed Job Description:

· Mandatory Skills: Java/J2EE, Spring Core , Database skills, Design patterns

· Optional Skills: Javascript Framework , Performance tuning , various tooling and automation

· Relevant Experience: 10 + years

Responsibilities

· Owning technical challenges, researching solutions and implementing best practices across the Global Engineering community, ensuring technical alignment with other Global programmes

· Implementing technical standards / governance across the engineering teams and promoting the use of tooling, Cloud environments and automated testing throughout the engineering life cycle

· Provide direction, support and mentoring to a team of technical leads to maintain strong governance across the engineering lifecycle to increase quality, productivity and maturity

· Work across the programme to drive the technical roadmap for all channels and service fulfilment

· Support the Engineering Lead to drive alignment of key Global

· Engineering work streams e.g. ALM, Tooling, Continuous Integration, ‘1-Click’ environments etc.

Required Skills

· 10+ years experience working in an enterprise development environment; Java, HMTL5, JavaScript, Dojo (or equivalent), SOA services, Spring Integration, MQ, SOAP or REST xml and Cloud hosting

· Experience of Agile methodologies (Scrum in particular), source control & deployment (Maven, Jenkins, Build Forge etc) and test driven development

· Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is a articulated in a simple meaningful way to wide and varied audiences

· Experience of being in a engineering role where the candidate can influence and drive change within the engineering community, working across multiple teams and multiple time zones

· In depth knowledge of productivity / Quality tools & methods : e.g. JUnit, LISA, Cloud, SET

· In-depth knowledge and expertise in the areas of Continuous Integration, Test Automation, Unit Testing

· Driving change and innovation; Ability to build wider networks and trusting relationships

· Candidate should have experience of technically leading the team of more than 15 + people
