    Job Description

    We are looking for an experienced Business Architect to join a major business transformation program within a complex international environment. This role will be instrumental in shaping and evolving business architecture capabilities, ensuring strong alignment between business strategy, operating models, processes, capabilities, and technology landscapes.

    As a key link between business and technology stakeholders, you will help translate strategic objectives into actionable business capabilities, transformation roadmaps, and architectural frameworks that support long-term organizational goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Define, maintain, and evolve business capability models across multiple business domains.
    • Establish governance standards for capability management, including taxonomy, hierarchy structures, naming conventions, and model consistency.
    • Analyze business needs and translate them into capabilities, target operating models, and transformation initiatives.
    • Develop and manage capability hierarchies and relationships across different levels of the organization.
    • Conduct capability assessments, gap analyses, dependency mapping, overlap identification, and impact evaluations to support strategic decision-making.
    • Ensure alignment between business, enterprise, and technology strategies through effective capability management practices.
    • Map business capabilities to processes, applications, value streams, organizational structures, and operating models.
    • Support the harmonization and evolution of business capability frameworks across the organization.
    • Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure alignment between business priorities and technology roadmaps.
    • Contribute to the design and evolution of business architecture methodologies, operating models, and governance frameworks.
    • Support business process architecture initiatives and maintain consistency across capability, process, and operating model views.
    • Facilitate workshops with business and technology stakeholders to build consensus and drive alignment.
    • Produce and maintain architecture artefacts, models, and documentation using industry-standard tools, primarily LeanIX.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on business architecture and transformation topics.

    Qualifications

    • Significant experience in Business Architecture, Business Transformation, Enterprise Architecture, or a closely related discipline.
    • Strong expertise in Business Capability Modelling and business architecture frameworks.
    • Demonstrated experience defining, governing, and evolving business capability models within large and complex organizations.
    • Solid understanding of the relationships between business capabilities, processes, value streams, operating models, applications, and organizational structures.
    • Hands-on experience with LeanIX for capability modelling, application portfolio management, or enterprise architecture activities.
    • Good understanding of business process management principles; experience with Signavio is considered a strong advantage.
    • Proven ability to bridge business and technology environments and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior leadership and executive audiences.
    • Strong workshop facilitation and consensus-building capabilities.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including capability assessments, impact analysis, and dependency analysis.
    • Highly autonomous, proactive, and comfortable operating in complex, international environments.
    • Experience supporting large-scale transformation, modernization, or operating model change initiatives is highly desirable.
    • Fluent English is essential.
