Job Description

We are looking for a Front-End Architect / Tech Lead with strong hands-on knowledge of ReactJS and NextJS to lead the decision-making process for creating a new front-end framework from scratch. Working autonomously, you will implement front-end architectural decisions on high-impact eCommerce projects, promote best practices, and ensure the scalability and performance of our applications.

What is this all about?
>    Technical Leadership & Architecture

  • Define and maintain robust front-end architecture aligned with modern best practices.
  • Make strategic technical decisions on frameworks, libraries, and performance optimisation.
  • Lead initiatives on microfrontend adoption and integration where applicable.

>    ReactJS & NextJS Expertise

  • Drive development using ReactJS (minimum 4 years of hands-on experience) and NextJS (latest versions, 13+).
  • Implement advanced features such as SSR, SSG, and ISR for high-performance applications.
  • Ensure seamless integration of NextJS capabilities for SEO and scalability.

>    Design Systems

  • Lead or co-create enterprise-level design systems to ensure consistency and reusability.
  • Establish component libraries and enforce UI/UX standards across teams.

>    Team Collaboration & Scale

  • Coordinate with large, cross-functional teams on high-scale projects.
  • Mentor developers, review code, and enforce best practices for maintainability and scalability.

>    Performance & Quality

  • Optimise application performance through code splitting, caching, and lazy loading.
  • Oversee implementation of automated testing (unit, integration, and E2E) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitor and improve Lighthouse scores and accessibility compliance.

>    Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in front-end technologies and microfrontends.
  • Introduce modern architecture patterns and tools to improve delivery speed and quality.
     

Qualifications

Who are you?

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in frontend development.
  • At least 4 years of active experience working with ReactJS and at least 2 recent years with NextJS (modern versions, 13 or higher).
  • Strong experience in technical decision-making and frontend architecture definition.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with Design Systems (ideally having led or co-created one).
  • Experience working in large teams or on high-scale projects.
  • Knowledge of microfrontends is a highly valued plus.
  • Experience in performance, SSR/SSG, CI/CD, testing, and modern architecture best practices will also be valued.
