Company Description

Our client is an innovative team with a global presence, located in the Peachtree City, GAI area.  They are seeking a Technical Specialist (also called Electronics Technician) for a long-term contract (12+ months) with the potential of converting to full-time.  You must be able to read and to interpret more advanced schematic diagrams and mechanical drawings and troubleshoot to the component level, and have excellent soldering/de-soldering skills.

Job Description

  • Utilize microscopes, oscilloscopes, analyzers, power supplies, RF generators, and multi-meters.
  • Read and to interpret more advanced schematic diagrams and mechanical drawings. 
  • Troubleshoot to the component level, and have excellent soldering/de-soldering skills. 
  • Write reports, business correspondence and procedures. 
  • Utilize microscopes, oscilloscopes, analyzers, power supplies, RF generators, and multimeters 
  • Conducts detailed high level defect investigations to root cause, and works with responsible areas to develop and implement corrective actions.  
  • Conducts in-depth defect analysis for completed assemblies and components to root cause level.  
  • Works with senior staff to initiate brainstorming and five principles for problem solving process (Defines Problem, Identifies Root Cause (Ask Why 5 Times). 
  • Assists senior staff with follow up on assigned actions from responsible areas until problem closure. 
  • Prepares detailed technical information of defect investigations for use in reports and presentations to management and customers.
  • Information required may contain some or all of the following: defect photographs, charts, outside research reference material, design of experiments results, white board meeting notes, action items lists, and outside vendor material analysis.

Other Duties

  • May travel to customer site to conduct on-site support for defect investigations. 
  • Will interface with customer’s representatives during defect investigation. 
  • May be responsible to ship and operate portable test equipment for defect investigations, and interface to test vehicle. 
  • Supports safety investigations and reports for thermal events. 
  • Works with senior staff and management to document and confirm results of safety investigation. Ensures corrective action breakpoints are not violated with thermal event investigation.
Pay Rate:  $18-$23.50 per hour

Qualifications

  • Five (5) plus years related experience or; 
  • A standard technical institute certificate or degree in a related field or equivalent military training evidenced by a DD 214, plus three (3) years related experience. 
  • Read and to interpret more advanced schematic diagrams and mechanical drawings. 
  • Troubleshoot to the component level, and have excellent soldering/de-soldering skills. 
  • Write reports, business correspondence and procedures. 
  • Possess computer programming and/or operational skills as required by department – Automated Tester operation. 
  • Proficiency with the computer applications appropriate to the position and assignment.
