Job Description

**This position is contingent upon contract award**

SOSi is seeking a Unit Mail Handler to provide mail receiving, processing, sorting and distribution in support of our US government customer.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Maintain accountability for and manage distribution of all personal mail and parcel.
  • Perform daily operations including picking up, sorting, safeguarding and distributing mail.
  • Inspect, signs for and accept responsibility for and processes unclassified mail.
  • Verify forms are complete and accurate.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in related field. 
  • Ability to deploy overseas and complete pre-deployment training and medical screening.
  • Ability to pass National Agency and/or certification checks and have no record of conviction, disciplinary actions reflecting unfavorable integrity.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to obtain a mail card (DD-285) prior to commencement of work.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with mail handling in support of a US government agency desired.
  • Working knowledge of the DoD Postal Manual 4525.6-M.

Work Environment:

  • The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of heavy materials, boxes, or equipment.
