Job Description

Sodexo is seeking experienced Project Leads to join our extremely professional and passionate team on a permanent, full time basis on a long-term contract. The role is based out of the Balcatta office with site travel required as needed.

  • Responsible for the safe, compliant management of projects to a major mining company located in the Pilbara
  • Focused on deploying, adapting, and implementing end to end Project Management services for Sodexo Project Team across multiple sites
  • Defining project scopes, planning, estimating and managing costs and schedule performance on projects that could include housing refurbishments, village accommodation refurbishments, critical infrastructure upgrades/replacement, major civil upgrade works (carparks), upgrades to airports, central facilities upgrades, including dining room, kitchen, wet mess and a large volume of minor works projects
  • Completing assigned projects in compliance with client expectations, company objectives, and all contractual documentation
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Procuring necessary resources for assigned projects
  • Establishing and developing effective project teams
  • Authorizing construction planning, programming, and completion schedules
  • Authorizing engagement of subcontractors and all major subcontract variations
  • Provide support to Clients through the provision of standardised Project Management services (e.g. predictable quality and cost of services)
  • Provide support to contract management of deliverable projects
  • Contribute to an overall improvement in safety through safety walks or similar - reduce incidents and accidents and achieve a zero-accident culture and mindset

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified – Mechanical/Civil/Electrical Engineering and/or Construction/Project Management and/or Quantity Surveying or extensive proven Project Management experience
  • Demonstrated experience of project management deliverables across multiple sites, with a preference to the mining sector
  • High level of financial acumen with strong P&L performance delivery
  • Strong tender/quote/bid preparation and evaluation knowledge
  • Strong work ethics and an understanding of corporate requirements and processes
  • Strong professional business acumen to ensure all client relationship improvement initiatives are professionally defined measured, implemented and controlled
  • High level of business case presentation and pro-active communication skills with the ability to professionally negotiate and achieve positive client relationship outcomes
