Sodexo has a unique role available for a Soft Services SME to join our team in Balcatta in a full time, permeant role.

Within Western Australia, Sodexo is responsible for the operations, maintenance, and refurbishment of non-process infrastructure to clients within the mining and oil & gas sector. Sodexo plays a critical role in ensuring the resource sector can operate by providing quality catering, hospitality, and facilities maintenance services.

What is a Soft Services SME? To put it simply, the Soft Services SME is the final checkpoint in ensuring that all new or refurbished facilities that are ready to be handed over to our FM or Operations Team have met the required standard.

The position is based out of our WA office located in Balcatta but there will be a requirement to travel to remote sites in the Pilbara when required.

The role would suit someone who has worked as a Village Manager or manager of remote camps and accommodations. We want someone who has lived the life and is looking for that next career step.

What you will be doing

  • Ensure the consistent delivery of Soft Services across the contract and promoting best practice
  • Ensure that all Safety, Compliance and Quality processes are followed, and gaps identified and escalated to resolution.
  • Identify, develop, and where necessary support implementation of innovation and new ideas to enhance the service offer and/or improve efficiency
  • Represent the client as a Subject Matter Expert for Soft Service matters with their customer base.
  • To review and understand the contractual obligations for technical service delivery.
  • To lead the development of the mobilisation plans, which reflects the Technical Services contract scope and agreed processes.
  • Prepare and manage contract and site-specific risk register during mobilisation phase and hand these to Contract lead once steady state has been achieved.
  • Oversee and support as required due diligence and mobilisation projects, capturing salient points for escalation where there are gaps and identification of process to be documented in the technical operations guide.
  • Complying with company procedures and operational instructions
  • Using your interpersonal and negotiation skills and lending your knowledge to various communities of practice and technical group discussions

Qualifications

  • Experienced PM practitioner
  • Demonstrated experience of project management deliverables across multiple sites
  • High level of financial acumen with strong P&L performance delivery
  • Strong work ethics and an understanding of corporate requirements and processes
  • Strong professional business acumen to ensure all client relationship improvement initiatives are professionally defined measured, implemented and controlled
  • High level of business case presentation and communication skills with the ability to professionally negotiate and achieve positive client relationship outcomes
