Job Description

Sodexo are currently seeking an experienced Internal Audit professional to join the Internal Control team, based in Eight Mile Plains at our Brisbane Support Centre. This is a 12 month, fixed-term (full-time position with regular domestic travel.

About the Job
Reporting to the Internal Control Manager and part of the wider Finance Team, you will be responsible for the planning, completion and reporting of internal audits and reviews of varying sizes and scopes across Sodexo’s sites and support departments.
This role will see you assess, design, and continuously improve business processes to enhance Sodexo’s control environment. You will work with management and stakeholders to drive the implementation of action plans to improve and embed internal controls across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and completion of internal audits at Sodexo’s remote and metropolitan sites, with scopes including revenue, inventory, payroll and contract compliance.
  • Completion of audits and reviews to evaluate processes and controls within central support departments.
  • Preparation of formal written audit reports to detail key findings, action plans and improvements.
  • Presentation of findings to stakeholders and management and detailed follow up and assessment of agreed action plans.

Qualifications

About You
You will bring strong auditing skills and will maintain a high standard of process documentation, work papers and audit evidence. Your report writing abilities allow you to write persuasive, clear and concise audit reports.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively within a culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary environment. Your highly collaborative approach will enable you to build strong networks, and your influencing skills and ability to direct and assist stakeholders will be crucial to achieving desired outcomes.
The position will suit a motivated and driven individual who is genuinely interested in promoting positive change within the business. Critical to success in this role is your ability to investigate and understand business processes and apply and adapt your knowledge of risks and controls into different situations and procedures.

Key Requirements

  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline such as business, finance or accounting.
  • 5+ years Internal / External Audit or Internal Control experience.
  • Well organised and able to work across multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Able to work autonomously within a geographically dispersed team.
  • Sound judgement, critical thinking, attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to write high-quality audit reports.
  • Proficient in using MS Office suite and familiarity with ERP & financial applications.
  • Experience with working within a contract services company would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to remote sites and domestically.
